A question asked again and again is, how can ChemSketch and SciFinder-N be effectively linked? Here is my way:

1. Draw structure in ChemSketch
2. Generate SMILES code and copy it to the clipboard
3. Press the Draw button in the SciFInder-N structure search
4. Copy the SMILES code in the upper right corner of the input line and press Enter

Now the structure should be displayed in the structure editor of SciFinder-N.
This works also with InChl codes!
