Jede Gurke in ca. 7 cm lange St\u00fccke aufschneiden. Jedes dieser St\u00fccke l\u00e4ngs 4mal einschneiden, wobei an beiden Enden ein St\u00fcck von 1 cm stehen bleibt. Die Gurken in eine Schale legen, mit einer Lake aus 1l Wasser und 3 Essl\u00f6ffel Salz begie\u00dfen und 2 Stunden ziehen lassen. Die Poreestangen l\u00e4ngs halbieren und mit den Zwiebeln, Knoblauchzehen,gesch\u00e4ltem Ingwer und den Sardellen sehr fein hacken. Diese Zutaten in eine Sch\u00fcssel geben und mit Paprikapulver,Zucker und Sambal Oelek vermischen. Die Gurken abwaschen, abtropfen lassen und das Restwasser behutsam aus den Schlitzen dr\u00fccken. Die Gurkenschnitte mit der F\u00fcllung stopfen und in einem Steinguttopf schichten. Nach etwa 2-3 Stunden Ruhezeit die Br\u00fche vorsichtig aufgie\u00dfen. Noch verbleibende F\u00fcllung obenauf verteilen.Nach 24 Stunden Ruhezeit bei Raumtemperatur k\u00f6nnen die Gurken ganz oder halbiert mit etwas Fl\u00fcssigkeit in einem Sch\u00e4lchen serviert werden.
